Profile
I am an Assistant Professor. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Pre-Medicine from Concordia University in Irvine, CA, and a Master of Arts in Psychology from Pepperdine University. Since then, I worked as a mental health therapist, Social Services Director in a nursing facility, a social worker in a hospital, a crisis counselor and a crisis evaluator in an Emergency Room, and a Site Coordinator who managed 25 staff members and 950 severely mentally ill consumers in Tucson and Phoenix, AZ.
I also earned a Doctorate degree in Naturopathic Medicine in 2006 from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ. I was trained in OB/GYN and Natural birth and in family medicine/Endocrinology/Pain management. I had experience working at local hospitals and clinics.
I have been an Assistant Professor since September 2003 and currently teach at several local universities. From 2010 to 2013, I served as an Area-Chair of the Undergraduate and Graduate Psychology program at the University of Phoenix – Phoenix Campus, where he managed 50 faculties and oversaw both the undergraduate and graduate programs. In 2016, I received an Outstanding Faculty of the Year award in the Social Sciences Department at the University of Phoenix. I served as a Department Chair at Arizona Christian University for 6 years. I have been teaching at Maricopa Community Colleges for the past 6 years.
